As I lay on my face this morning I wept in adoration and praise at the feet of my King… Jesus.
I wept over the lost souls in this world.
I wept over the souls my Savior has redeemed and the beauty in how He draws His lost sheep to Himself.
I just wept.
And then the Lord spoke.
He said simply, “This is the posture you need to take before me as you enter into this new year.”
With tears streaming down my face I simply said, “Ok, Lord.”
He then stirred in my spirit an urgency to release this word to others… to encourage others to take the same posture before the Lord as we enter into this new year together, united, as the body of Christ.
The posture of total surrender.
The posture of Mary.
“At a dinner held in Jesus’ honor Mary, instead of helping with preparations, scripture says, ‘Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume,'” John 12:3 NIV.
Mary’s deep love for Jesus compelled her to fall at His feet pouring out her finest perfume; the smell of which filled the entire room.
Can we take that same posture before the Lord this New Year’s Eve? I know it’s contrary to the “norm” on a night typically filled with booming celebration and streamers and such; but each year we long for something different, for something new – don’t we? So why not enter into the New Year in a new way… in a way that says to the Lord,I resolve to do the will of the Father. Click To Tweet I resolve to surrender it all to the One who paid it all for me. Click To Tweet I resolve to lay aside my own will and desire for the One whose will and desire it is to have… Click To Tweet I resolve to be a surrendered vessel the Lord can use in this New Year to awaken others to the… Click To Tweet
Like Paul, I resolve to know nothing except Christ and Him crucified (1 Corinthians 2:2).
I can’t change the world, but Jesus can. His are the feet I want to pour out my finest perfume upon. He paid it all, so I will give my all to Him.
Lord – Raise up an army of Mary’s who will take this world by storm through the posture of total surrender and abandon to You and Your Will… Like Jesus cried out on the night before the crucifixion – let it not be My will but Your Will. Let us cry out to you as we go into this new year for something NEW to truly occur. Your Will carried out on this earth through vessels fully yielded to the Will of the Father. . . Thank you Lord Jesus! You are glorious… and we adore You! In Jesus Name, Amen.
Blessings, and Happy New Year,
(from one Mary to another)
