Urgency to Know God’s Character

A recent opportunity to answer questions about faith and God solidified my conviction of the need to know God’s character through the whole of God’s living Word, the Bible. A Christian had lost their faith in God being a good God. This person knew Scripture, and really wanted answers.

I was able to testify with every question because of searching for and seeing God’s character throughout the Bible and acknowledging His work in my life. I don’t have a seminary degree, but His living Word, through the Spirit, speaks complete Truth when we give testimony to it.

Friends, there’s been an urgency in the culture. Do you feel it? As a Christ-follower, the urgency drives me to one thing–knowing more and more about my Savior and testifying to His truth, according to His Word, for His glory.

When things don’t make sense around me, I’m going to His Word more, and I urge you to do so, also.

There’s a deception going on in the Church, and it’s not of God. It’s not going away. It will increase. We MUST take hold of our faith in BIG ways and teach who He is to our children in BIG ways because deception is so slick.

If you have received Christ as your personal Savior, He’s calling all of us with an urgency to give an account of Him to others. The enemy doesn’t want this. So, he’s distracting you with many things. Stop being distracted with things which are good but not God’s best for you or your family. He’s not in the manger anymore–He LIVES!

Pull back from distractions and draw unto Him. Teach these things to your children (please!).
If ever these things are important, it’s now.

Seek Him–through prayer, His Word, and then walk out faith–believing what you cannot see (Hebrews 11:1).

Be in His Word. Just start. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you what He wants you to learn. Search for God’s character–and then live it, and testify to it.
