Hello and Happy March 1st to all my Readers,
I have good news. While it may sound silly, if you’ve followed along with my blogs the last two years, you might remember that my purpose through Not Alone Ministries has truly been to share with you that You are Not Alone and that there is Resurrection Hope in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. It has also been an invitation for you to join me in my own healing journey from pain in my past. I sat at my kitchen table nearly two weeks ago and took a mental and physical survey of my life, and realized that, in my present situation, I am no longer in survival mode. From that realization, I made the decision that I am no longer in a survival-mode-mindset. This is huge.
The day this blog is posted will be my 41st birthday, and the official start of a new chapter in my life. While in previous blogs, I’ve shared about being in survival mode for over a decade, in this chapter, I am committing to forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what is ahead. While I know that my past will always be a part of me, I have realized that I no longer have to let it define me, or my future.
Philippians 3:13b-14 Forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what is ahead, 14I pursue as my goal the prize promised by God’s heavenly call in Christ Jesus.
Hebrews 12:1-2 Therefore, since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every hindrance and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us, 2keeping our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfector of our faith. For the joy that lay before him, he endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
While there is so much more to say, I am going to continue processing this new step of faith and will write more as God leads. You know He is always working on me!
Thank You for joining me on my journey. Thank you for allowing me to be vulnerable as God has done some big and meaningful work in my life. I surely haven’t arrived by any means!!! I hope, though, that through my posts you have truly felt Not Alone, knowing that there is someone else that is experiencing things similar to you. I also hope and pray that you are discovering that we are Never Alone when we have a relationship with Jesus Christ, and that we always have Resurrection Hope for now and forever in Him!
See you next month!

Speaking and Praying Scripture – MARCH

PRAYER:
Dear God, You are a good, good Father who loves us so much. Thank you for the gift of your Son, Jesus, who died on the cross for our sins so that if we confess with our mouth that Jesus is LORD and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved (Romans 10:9).
God, thank you that with You we have Resurrection Hope and the promise of new life both for now and for eternity. Help us to forget what is behind and reach forward to what is ahead, pursuing as our goal the prize promised by God’s heavenly call in Christ Jesus. Help us to run with endurance the race that lies before us, keeping our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfector of our faith.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
