These resources are meant to be shared as if you and I were sitting having coffee at my house or chatting over a playdate or even a sporting event, sharing our stories, our lives, and our experiences. They are things that I’ve discovered over the years and have enjoyed either in a large or small part in my life and would love to share with you. There are so many wonderful resources already available for use but sometimes we just need a friend to share them with us!

I love the Bible Recap because it is designed to help you “read, understand, and love the Bible”. It provides short recaps to your daily reading to help you understand what you’ve read and make connections within the text so you can learn more about who God is. You can choose a media platform to listen to the recaps or you can purchase the recaps in book form here. They even have a Recap for Kids option! You can read all about how to begin your journey with the Bible Recap right here!
This Bible App is easy to use and has a lot of options. When you get the app it is a picture of a bible that says “Holy Bible” on the front. I haven’t used this app a lot because I typically prefer using an actual Bible. However, there are so many options where you can have the Bible read to you, choose a plan, or access a daily verse. If you search under plans you can even find “The Bible Recap” which I highly recommend.
She Reads Truth is a ministry that encourages women (and men with He Reads Truth) to Read Truth Every Day. They offer reading plans, have designed their own Bible using the Christian Standard Bible version, have a podcast and more. While I’ve heard a lot about She Reads Truth I have not yet participated in one of their reading plans fully. I do, however, have their Bible and have listened to their podcast several times. They are a great resource if you are wanting a community of women to walk through specific books or topics in the Bible. You can also download their app!
While there are several commentaries available for use, a friend shared this one with me and I have really enjoyed it. I have downloaded it as an app on my phone and use it to help me understand smaller portions of scripture such as a verse or even part of a verse.
This is a great tool for parents and kids! My kids love to watch the Bible videos on the app, but you can access them through the website here as well. You do need to create a free account with Superbook to watch the videos and then there is a subscription you can choose if you want more access. My kids have enjoyed the free episodes! There are also many resources within this site that provide parents and kids opportunities to learn more about God and His character. Disclaimer: My four year old thought a couple episodes were a little scary (they are stories about the Bible after all!) so use parental discretion before you turn it on and walk away.
